Bra Review – Gossard Revolution Bra

To make up for our absence, we have a bra review for you! And I even promise not to bitch and moan.

So we bought the GOSSARD REVOLUTION BRA in a 30E (we are a 28F) from ASOS.

The verdict is good! The look of it is beautiful and very classic, a little vintage but not too much. The straps are thicker than us before coffee but a lot more charming. I even quite like them – something I never thought I would say about a thick strap. The fabric is silky and luxurious and the structured design sits perfectly and feels comfortable and supportive.

The back (as usual with Gossard) is small enough for us 28 backers and the cute cut out detail doesn’t dig in and makes a great feature of an area which usually goes unadorned. I also really like the gold fastenings and details, which add more to the luxury feel of the bra.

For all that positivity there is one slight downer; this bra is not really suitable for day to day wear. The cups are a little pointy where the seams join which shows under clothing and the briefs are aren’t quite as special as I would have hoped but are nice all the same. Also, the Gossard website thinks it’s a good idea to show which push up bras have been given the seal of approval by The Sun. Pretty grim but can be avoided by buying from Figleaves or ASOS (which offers free delivery and returns). All pics from ASOS.com.

The bra also comes in a light champagne pink colour which is also beautiful.

The end.

Bra Review: Freya Jolie

Now just so y’all didn’t think we were haters…….

we’ve got some love for you:

The Freya Jolie Bra!

This is one of my favourite ever bras.

Freya have done this bra for several seasons and I will buy it again and again. I love this bra! The back fits like a dream with a 2 hook fastening, the cups sizes are accurate and the lace is (for once) demure and tasteful. The shape is perfect for every day wear, with great support and good lift, while the style is feminine and pretty. The bows are a cute touch too.

At £29, this bra is on the cheaper end of the spectrum                                                       and comes in Black and White.

The bottoms come in the less chic form (I guess you can’t have everything)                          of shorts or thong from £14.50.                                                                                       Not impressed…

…..but thankfully the lace is so generic that you can twin with pretty much any other black lacy bottom.

Freya – Main Offender

Dear Freya,

You do annoy me so. Yes you fit like a dream but why are you so aesthetically challenged!?

Exhibit A: The Totally Tartan Set

Picture 7

What is that!? You ‘totally suck’! I’m obviously old enough to have gotten measured and require the use of a ‘real bra’ so why would I want to wear lingerie that makes me look like a 13 year old at a slumber party???
Why not whip up some hot cocoa and I can tell you all about the cute boy I sit behind in math, Douche.

I’ve made my peace with the price, no decent bra will ever be achieved in my size for any less than a small fortune but buttons, oh for the love of god buttons…….really? Was gingham not enough for you?! How does this qualify as an adult bra?
I could only imagine buying this as a set for a cute pyjama day thing, but:

1 – I don’t really own pyjamas any more and this and a sleveless misfits t-shirt aren’t overly in sync.

2 – Who buys a frumpy cute pyjama set for £45.

Answer: nobody. (Unless you did and I’ve just thoroughly offended you in which case maybe this blog isn’t for you).

The end.

 You’re welcome!
